Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Time Bandit, the Eisenhower Matrix, and how we help you steal your time back.
What is the Eisenhower Matrix?
The Eisenhower Matrix is a time-management framework that sorts tasks by two axes — importance and urgency — into four quadrants: Do First (important + urgent), Schedule (important + not urgent), Delegate (urgent + not important), and Drop (neither). It forces honest prioritization so you spend energy on what actually moves the needle.
Is Time Bandit free to use?
Yes. The Priority Matrix, Pomodoro timer, completion log, and analytics are free — no credit card required. We also offer individual and team workshops for groups that want to embed priority management into their culture.
How does the Google Tasks sync work?
When you connect your Google account, Time Bandit creates four Google Tasks lists that mirror your matrix quadrants (Do First, Schedule, Delegate, Park). Adding a task in Google Tasks pulls it into your matrix; completing a task in the matrix marks it done in Google — true two-way sync with no manual exports.
Do I need a Google account to use Time Bandit?
No. The Google Tasks sync is optional. You can use the full Priority Matrix, Pomodoro timer, and analytics without connecting any external account.
What are the four quadrants in Time Bandit?
Do First (important + urgent) — attack these today. Schedule (important + not urgent) — block real time for these. Delegate (urgent + not important) — hand it off. Park (neither important nor urgent) — let it go.
Can I use Time Bandit with my team?
Yes. Team sessions let a lead share their matrix with collaborators via a link. We are currently refining how shared sessions work; team sharing is temporarily limited while we improve the experience.
Does Time Bandit include a Pomodoro timer?
Yes. The Pomodoro Technique is built into Time Bandit. The floating timer runs classic 25-minute focused work sessions followed by 5-minute breaks, with a longer 15-minute break after four cycles. Open it from the header once logged in, pick a single Do-First priority, and let the timed rhythm carry your focus. It tracks completed Pomodoros so you can see how many deep-work sessions you have put toward what matters.
Is my data private?
Yes. Each user only sees their own priorities and sessions. Row-level security ensures your data is isolated — other users cannot read, edit, or delete your priorities.
How do I get started?
Click "Open the Matrix" on the landing page. You will be prompted to sign in, then land on your dashboard where you can start adding priorities to each quadrant immediately.
